There’s nothing like a 5K to keep you in shape this season. Apart from providing a good workout and great swag, Tuscaloosa’s favorite race will benefit a cause that we can all stand behind.
Sign up to participate in the Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah 5K in Downtown Tuscaloosa this Saturday, August 18, 2018.
This race will take place on Saturday, beginning and ending at Government Plaza. The route will pass through various parts of Downtown and Historic Tuscaloosa. Scott Cochran will be the honorary race starter. The race begins at 8 a.m.
You can register and pick up your packet on Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Expeditions or come early on Saturday before the race. Registration will be available day-of at Government Plaza.
Raising Money for Cystic Fibrosis
Apart from providing Tuscaloosa residents with a fun and healthy Saturday morning activity, the goal of the race is to raise funds and awareness for cystic fibrosis. Funds raised via the race benefit the Thomas Plott Foundation, a 501(c)(3) focusing on cystic fibrosis. The foundation has donated or pledged more than $500,000 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and other philanthropic entities. The majority of these funds have been designated to support critical medical research.
We hope you will support our community and those affected by cystic fibrosis at the Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah 5K this weekend. Tuscaloosa Hyundai is a proud member of the Tuscaloosa community and is here to help the next time you need a vehicle or service.
