Tannehill Trade Days, in McCalla, Alabama are days to remember. From March through November, shoppers, and swappers come from far and near on the third weekend of each month. Everyone comes to visit in search of tools, clothing, jewelry, knives, furniture and other treasures. Tannehill State Park estimate they have 350+ vendors for you to come and see.

Tannehill State Park Year History

If you are looking for some history experience, then there is something for you too. You will find Alabama Civil War reenactments, as well as Gem, Mineral, Jewelry, and woodcarver shows. If you are looking for entertainment for your school, Tuscaloosa will cater to the children for field trips as well. You’ll find historical parts of Once Tannehill Historic Ironworks State Park. This park contains a historic furnace, an Iron and Steel Museum, cotton gin, and a gristmill with 45 other historic buildings.

Visit Tannehill State Park, and you will be reminded of a simpler time – when things moved at a slower pace with beauty and tranquility. Their trails are beautiful and inviting. Check out The Ironworks Loop, for instance. It is recognized for its trails the Doubletrack, the Slave Quarter Trail, and the Montevallo Stagecoach Road.
