Fruits, Vegetables, and More
Do you have a grocery run coming up? Bring your grocery list to the market to find what you need, and maybe even try something new. All the produce for sale at the market comes from regional purveyors. You might even be surprised how noticeable the difference is between the standard supermarket fare and these wonderful homegrown produce.
Farms like D & M Farm offer a wide range of fresh, flavorful produce like cabbage, peas, greens, okra, squash, and more. On the other hand, Hale Farms hails from Clanton to sell genuine Chilton County peaches as well as other tasty treats like plump strawberries. From spring until July, you can also find blueberries from purveyors like Gregory’s Blueberries. If you want something sweet, look for Barry’s Bees for raw honey along with a selection of other items made from the honey and beeswax, and the farm’s range-free chickens also provide eggs.
Artisans and Craft Wares
There’s more than fresh fruits and veggies at the market. In fact, a host of craftspeople and artisans set up shop at the Tuscaloosa Farmers Market. At the market, they sell their finely made, unique goods, and artwork. If you’re looking for some fashionable accessories, charming gifts, or just some unique artwork to put on display in your home, then you’re sure to be delighted by the creativity demonstrated by our local artists.
